Description:
The receiver mounting scheme of our Receiver Mount shotgun shell holders for the Mossberg 500 is similar to that of the Remington 870, and uses steel fasteners threaded onto steel threads for more secure attachment to the shotgun. The mounting plate was designed not to obscure the receiver serial number to make it easier for armorers to inventory their weapons.
This shell holder can be installed on the left side of the receiver only.
You must use a tactical forend that does not significantly overlap the receiver, or a factory forend that is cut down appropriately. Surefire forends will work fine with no alterations.
Aside from the forend alterations, no gunsmithing is required to install. All necessary tools are included.
