Description:
Traditional on-gun shell holder solutions require alterations to the shotgun. To make things simpler for users of our AR stock adapter systems, our first shell holders were designed to be attached to the side mount points of our AR stock adapters. The push-button sling swivel mounting capability is still retained when a mounting point is used for a shell holder, and a single AR stock adapter can accommodate multiple shell holders at one time.
Shotgun Shell Holders can carry eight 12-gauge shells or slugs on the side of a shotgun. Adapter-mounted shotgun shell holders attach to the accessory mount points on the sides of Mesa Tactical AR Stock Adapters, not to the shotgun receiver. Shotgun shell holders can be attached to both sides of the gun simultaneously.
The Adapter Mount Aluminum 8-Shell Holder can only be installed on the left side of the receiver, unless it is turned around and installed alongside the stock. If installed alongside the receiver, you must use a tactical forend that does not overlap the receiver, or a factory forend that is cut down appropriately.
The assemblies include a carrier and a bracket. Holes are drilled in the brackets so that shorter carriers can be installed on longer brackets. Brackets and carriers are not available separately at this time. The Aluminum Shotgun 6-Shell Holder can only be installed on the left side of the receiver.
