Description:
The receiver mounting scheme of our Receiver Mount shotgun shell holders for the Remington 870/1100/11-87 depends on steel fasteners threaded into steel pins for more secure attachment to the shotgun. The mounting plate even features a window over the shotgun serial number location, to make it easier for armorers to inventory their weapons.
The assemblies include a carrier and a bracket. Holes are drilled in the brackets so that shorter carriers can be installed on longer brackets. Brackets and carriers are not available separately at this time. The Aluminum Shotgun 6-Shell Holder can only be installed on the left side of the receiver.
To use a 6- and 8-shell holder mounted on the left side of a pump shotgun, you must use a tactical forend that does not overlap the receiver, or a factory forend that is cut down appropriately. Surefire forends are fully compatible with our 6-shell holders, but will need about ½" shaved off the end to be installed with our 8-shell holders.
This shell holder can be installed on the left side of the receiver only.
Note: This shell holder will interfere with factory pump forends that overlap the receiver. To use this shell holder, you must either replace the factory forend with a shorter tactical forend, or trim material from the factory forend until it no longer overlaps the shotgun receiver.
Aside from the forend alterations, no gunsmithing is required to install. All necessary tools are included.
